On Farm Water Management: 
1. Organization and registration of Water User Associations underneath the On Farm Water Management  Users Association  Ordinance , 1981 for promotion  improvement and alternative Water Management activities within the District.
2. to scale back water losses in water courses conveyance system by increasing delivery potency through water course re-construction / re-modeling with complete earthen improvement , partial brick lining , installation of nakkas construction of culverts , Syphons , drops and buffaloes  through Water User Associations on value sharing basis.
3. to scale back Water losses by increasing Water use potency within the farmer's fields through precision  land leveling by extending technical help.
4. to increase Water Management Extension Services through Demonstration farms.
5. Renting out Agricultural Machinery at approved rates.
6. Purchase of stores and capital product.
7. Feed back to provincial Agriculture Department on all the higher than mentioned business ,as per time to time directions.

STATUS OF CANAL WATER COURSES IN DISTRICT BAHAWALPUR 
1. Total no. of  Water Course within the District   =  3261
2. Total no. of improved water Courses         =  1411
     (i) Before Devolution up to 30-06-2001     =  1406
     (ii) once Devolution up up to now                     = five
3. Total no. of Un-improved Water Courses in Balance  =  1850
4. Precision land leveling with laser equipment               =  3605 Acres

Extension Activities: 
1. No of fish farms established in personal sector are 122 and space is 142 Acres.
2. Advisory services are being provided to 206 farmers. 
3. coaching  through open college is imparted to personal fish farmers.
4.  Aquaculture development activities are being administrated with 122 farmers.
Collection of statistical information of  fish farms  and their production. 
Forestry: 
1. Raising new forests and scientific management of existing public forests to maximise the assembly of wood.
2. Raising and promotion of roadside plantations of native / District significance farm forestry in personal land Raising of forest nurseries.
3. Education of the general public for tree planting and provisions of technical and advisory services on matters of afforestation to the individuals and alternative departments within the District.
4. Service matters except those entrusted to the Provincial Government.
5. Refer all major technical problems for recommendation of the Provincial Government.
6. Formulate operating plans once approval of preliminary operating plans from Provincial Government (CCF involved of the area) and find it technically cleared/approved from the Provincial Government before being sanctioned by the District Government.
7. Submit annual report on tree cowl monitoring to Provincial Government for review and incorporation into Provincial report.
8. Promotion of social / farm forestry in personal lands.
9. Raising of forest nurseries . 
Vegetable & Fruit  Production: 
With low agricultural productivity and restricted industrial base, economic profile of the district as a full isn't terribly bright.
